Spanish Department
The Spanish subject begins to be taught in our educational center in 2º Infantile Education (Reception) with a weekly lesson of 50 minutes. In it, students are introduced to the world of reading and writing with games, songs and poems. In 3º Infantile Education (Year 1) a specific and intensive work is done in the teaching of reading and writing. Small groups and several teachers who work simultaneously in the group achieve the goal that a large majority of the boys and girls in this course are able to read by the end of Early Childhood Education.
At the British School of Tenerife students are taught the obligatory Spanish subjects required by the Spanish Ministry of Education to convalidate their Secondary education. The subjects taught are, Lengua Castellana and Ciencias Sociales (Geography and History).
