Key Stage 3
This Key Stage covers pupils during their first three years of secondary education. It prepares them for Key Stage 4 where they are required to take options, where they choose the foundation subjects they wish to study for their IGCSEs, along with their core subjects. It comprises of Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, when pupils are usually aged between 11 and 14. It culminates in a set of British Exams in Year 9 to help monitor progress prior to the next Key Stage.
National curriculum subjects taught at BST are:
- Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French or German)
- Art and Design
- Physical Education
- Information and Communication Technology (Computing)
