PRIMARY NEWSLETTER – DECEMBER 2016

OPEN AFTERNOONS
Thank you to all Primary parents who attended the November "Open Afternoons".

The children really do enjoy and feel a real sense of pride showing you what they have been doing in school.

EXCURSIONS
Year 4 had a lovely day at the "Festival Internacional del Cuento" in Los Silos and were entertained by a singer, actors and story tellers. Congratulations to the children for their excellent behaviour. Every year this is highlighted by the Festival Staff.

Year 6 had a great time at Forestal Park.

Year 2 had a great time at the Fire Station.

YEAR 4 AZTEC BANQUET
Year 4 enjoyed an Aztec experience at the end of term. They had fun dressing up as Aztec noblemen and women and tasting Aztec dishes like quinoa, sweet corn, potato, rice and corn wraps. Not to mention tons of chocolate!

RECYCLING WORKSHOPS
On Monday, 5th of December Early Years and KS1 pupils were visited by Alessando Ferrato, a musician who enjoys making music with recycled materials. The children made trumpets, shakers and "frogs”, giving old bottles, yoghurt containers, pipes and balloons a second life. The children really enjoyed the day, which finished off with a terrific performance from Alessandro who showed us all his home made instruments made with re-used materials, including a drill, a crutch and plastic tubing.

TOY SALE
The Toy Sale was a huge success and we raised 934 euros for the “Cáritas” charity. Hopefully all the children went home with a toy which they like!
Thank you for your collaboration.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
