Thank you to all Primary parents who attended the November "Open Afternoons".
The children really do enjoy and feel a real sense of pride showing you what they have been doing in school.

Year 4 had a lovely day at the "Festival Internacional del Cuento" in Los Silos and were entertained by a singer, actors and story tellers. Congratulations to the children for their excellent behaviour. Every year this is highlighted by the Festival Staff.

Year 5 visited the Science Museum in La Laguna and were inspired to carry out some scientific experiments of their own! Year 5 have been studying the topic 'Changing State', during science lessons. They thoroughly enjoyed learning all about the chemical reactions that took place, when mixing bicarbonate of soda with vinegar, and the effect that it had on a deflated balloon.

The Year 6 children had a fantastic time at their beach trip, looking at plants and animals in rock pools and how they are adapted to their habitat. In the afternoon, as part of their Topic work, they asked tourists to complete questionnaires about what they thought of Puerto de la Cruz as a tourist destination.

After an informative talk in school, Year 6 visited Teide and learned about the flora and fauna.

Children in Early Years enjoyed dressing up for Halloween.

Thank you to parents for attending the Friday assemblies when birthdays are celebrated and the children show off their dancing skills. The next one is at 9.00 on 18th December.

Kevin Arthur organised a disco for Senior students which raised an incredible 700 euros. A huge thank you to students, parents and staff for their support and a special thank you to Kevin.
Some Primary parents would like to organise a toy sale in La Luz on Tuesday, 15th December from 12.30 onwards.
Children are asked to bring a toy from home which they no longer play with (in good repair!) by Friday, 11th December and on the 15th to bring 1€ to buy one.

We really hope you have enjoyed our Newsletter!
